This recreational forest got its name from the suspension bridge that is situated nearby. It is strategically located at the starting point of the steps to the peak of Gunung Jerai which is known as Tangga Kenari Seribu Tahun. An interesting one kilometer hike through natural forest (jungle track) leads to the Puteri Mandi waterfalls. Along the journey to this recreational area, visitors would have the opportunity to observe fruit orchards, rubber estates and traditional Malay villages. There is a wide variety of flora and fauna of lowland dipterocarp forest . Meranti melantai, meranti langgong and meranti tembaga are timber species commonly found here. |
