The 6-color combination used by Visit Kedah 2008 logo represent excitement of Visit Kedah 2008 year and Kedah citizen preparation in welcoming tourist to the State of Kedah Darul Aman. It also represent the celebration of Sultan Kedah Golden Jubilee commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Al-Sultan Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbudin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah accession to the throne.

The red of the word Kedah, orange and bright orange which signify the color of matured paddy on the paddy motive dan green of the paddy leaf signify colors of the Kedah State flag which epitomize strength, perseverance, harmony, solidarity and unification also prosperity of the State of Kedah Darul Aman.

Blue and turqoise are the color of tourism which symbolize serenity and peace representing gesture of Welcome to the State of Kedah Darul Aman.

The 17 grains on each of the paddy strain motive is directly related with the paddy motive on the official Kedah State Coat of Arms. It symbolize that the State of Kedah possesses various unique attractions that capable of captivating local and foreign tourist.

The crossed paddy leaves symbolize the openness and amiableness of Kedah citizen in welcoming tourist with friendly and polite attitude.
