LOCATION
Located in Sintok, Kedah, EDC-UUM is ideally located next to Universiti Utara Malaysia main campus and business areas in such as C-Mart and various business establishments. Not only that, it is also strategically located close to the duty free complex in Bukit Kayu Hitam and  Padang Besar for good bargain items. It is 45 minutes away from the newly built Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Halim in Kepala Batas and 30 minutes from the city of Alor Star.

THE CONCEPT
EDC-UUM's tastefully designed, valued for money accommodation consists of 88 guest rooms. Our spacious guest rooms are elegantly decorated to complement both business and leisurely pursuits.
HOW TO GET THERE
BY ROAD
The North-South Expressway (PLUS) has made it easy for any traveler to drive up to EDC-UUM. Roads are accessible from major towns and cities in the Peninsula. It is a 7-8 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Some of express buses from major towns in Malaysia to Changlun are:
1. Suasana Jelita Sdn. Bhd. (From Kuala Lumpur/Johor Bahru to Changlun /
    UUM Sintok.
2. Transnasional Ekspres (From Kuala Lumpur/Malacca/Seremban/ Kota
    Bharu to Changlun.
3. Cepat Ekspres (From Segamat/Malacca to Changlun).
4. Durian Burung Ekspres ( From K.Lumpur/Johor Bahru/Malacca/Seremban/
    Kuantan/Temerloh to Changlun ).
5. Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung (From K.Lumpur/Johor Bahru/
    Kota Bharu to Changlun ).
6. Utama Ekspres (From Kuantan/Temerloh to Changlun).
7. Ekspres Mutiara (From Kota Bharu to Changlun).

From Changlun, you can take a cab to EDC-UUM in Sintok.
 
BY AIR
The Sultan Abdul Halim Airport is located approximately 11km north of Alor Setar and 40km south to EDC-UUM in Sintok. Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia flies daily from Alor Setar to Kuala Lumpur. From the airport, you can take a cab or rent a car to EDC-UUM . For flight schedules, please visit Malaysia Airlines or Air Asia website.
 
BY RAIL
The Malaysian Railway or Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) services major towns in Kedah and Perlis. There are daily train services from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar and Arau. From Alor Setar Railway Station or Arau Railway Station, you can take a cab to EDC UUM in Sintok. For train schedules, please visit Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad website
